Bottled too early, help... Foam foam and more foam

I believe opening them when VERY cold will help too!?! CO2 should stay in the beer a bit better when very cold, and hopefully let off excess slowly as it warms a bit. Just a guess on my part. Hope it helps

Froze my carboy, am I screwed?

So $200 later, I kegged my IPA. The good news is...I now have two kegs. The one my friend gave me, and the one I got from the LHBS. The REALLY good news....My beer turned out great! I am drinking it much too fast, I have to get going again on my next batch to keep the fridge full! Thanks again...

Froze my carboy, am I screwed?

I cant complain, the fridge was free, but I was so careful, that I ran it for a week with a thermometer inside, just to make sure it works well, and everyday was perfect, then I go to pull the carboy out today, and....CRAP! Oh well, Thanks again everyone! I will raise a pint to you all in about...

Froze my carboy, am I screwed?

Wow, thanks for that! Mine is a firm slush, no where near this situation. My buddy is bringing me a keg, and I can pick up the bottle, and reg. nearby, I may try that, as I need to buy a bunch of bottles for my brown ale too. perhaps keg the IPA, and bottle the nut brown?!?

Froze my carboy, am I screwed?

Another option?!? I could possibly keg it, and force carb it!?! would it condition OK? Thanks again for the help with my idiotic questions! I am learning, and will pass the wisdom down, once acquired ;)

Froze my carboy, am I screwed?

I don't think so, it seems to be a ring frozen around the outside inch of the carboy, but it still is 75 percent liquid'ish

Froze my carboy, am I screwed?

I was planning to bottle tonight, but my free refrigerator, that has been working great, and holding a good consistent temperature while I have been cold crashing for a few days. Well, today, I opened the fridge, and it was 15 degrees inside, and my carboy is half frozen!?! WTF...

    Dry hop timing

I posted about a partial mash kit for Diamond knot IPA that I brewed up a month ago. I just took my FG reading, and had a sip. All is going great, and for a flat 68 degree beer, it tastes pretty darn good:D My question is, the instructions say to dry hop when racking from the primary to the...

    Tasted first batch, brewed another

A question while I'm here... I "upgraded my kit with Wyeast liquid yeast, and am very impressed with how actively it begins fermenting. Also the local brew shop told me this yeast would give a better taste. Any thoughts on this? Would the dry yeast included in the kit work just as well...

    Second Brew - Fermentation question

My (very inexperienced) thoughts exactly. Also, my first brew, had the airlock going great gangbusters bubbling every three seconds for a day, and a half, but dropped off almost immediately to over 30 seconds, and to over a minute by that night, so it can slow activity pretty abruptly.

    Tasted first batch, brewed another

Last Sunday, I brewed my first beer (Diamond Knot IPA clone) Last night I racked it to the carboy for secondary, and stole a taste. It was not awesome, but actually much more better than I thought it would be. Definitely hints of the real deal in there! This may turn out after all:rockin...
