Well I'm just going by what my fermometer says. It's usually dead on 70 degrees. I dont really know how to better control it though. A water and ice bath is too much trouble for me.
It's all been said before. They are selling to the masses. I don't know **** about crocheting but I bet there's someone out there that can tell me everything and more about it. Don't get too upset. Not everyone is into craft beer..........unfortunately.

Throw it away and buy a new one. If it's contaminated it's not worth taking the chance on another batch. This goes for tubing and any other cheap plastic parts that scratch and discolor.
I will add that I didn't pour a good head. I would rate it's retention as medium to low overall. I say in a couple more weeks it should be better. I know the taste will be. It's still a little green and "unfinished" but definitely drinkable.
