Splitting this with a friend. Wort was 1048 after sparge. His 2 gallons of wort will be boiled with 1 oz citra @45min. My 5 gallons I'm splitting. 2.5 gallons...
I simply used SWMBO's hair drier which I have plugged into an outlet that is wired from my love controller. SWMBO just asked where her hair drier is today.
Subscribed...Can't wait to hear how this turns out. I have a rum barrel for beer but don't think I'll put cider in it. LOL
I'm playing around with
2 gallons fresh apple cider
1 gallon pear wine base
fermented with Belgian yeas fermented at 80F to cause more ester production. Not sure...
Can you post a pic of your elderberry bush? I hear there are lots along the train tracks up in my neck of the woods, but i don't know what they look like. I too would like to use them in mead.
Just got back from Hawaii did not have laptop with me. That was fun taping episode 40. Lot's of bloopers didn't make it. Chip is crazy. He's coming over on Thursday to sample the Burton Ale.
The brew scene in HI is pretty sparse. Anyone want to start a brew club in HI?
I have mine on the BTV episode that dropped today. Check it out.
