This will be my first time bottling and I'm not sure how much priming sugar to use. I have an extract kit from NB that came with a 5 oz bag of sugar. It says to mix it with 1 pint of water. Am I actually supposed to use the whole 5 oz bag?

What is that a cookie sheet under your kettle? And what does it do?

I'm gonna be bottling my first batch of beer this weekend. I want to have an extra bucket with star san in it to sanitize my bottles. So my question is does the bucket that I will be sanitizing my bottle in need to be a food grade bucket or will pretty much any clean bucket do?

Only temp change was when I moved it to a different spot. Is only maybe 2 or 3 degrees cooler where it is now.

I used the Safale US-05 dry yeast that came with the extract kit and the temp of the beer is right around 68 degrees.
