Okay that makes sense. I had it in the primary fermenter for 5 days when the head died down to nothing. I then transferred it to the secondary carboy and after two days the bubbles started. Is it okay to take a specific gravity reading and then put the airlock back on? I was under the impression...
Hi all,
So I have placed this Irish Stout in my secondary fermenter with an air lock 15 days ago. It seems to still be producing CO2 and I see no sign of it slowing down. Should I just continue to let it go until it stops or what would be next course of action be? I have never seen it go this...
I was thinking of only doing two weeks if I did transfer it to carboy.. this would be the first time that I have left it in the primary.. I have a few primaries so I have no issue with leaving it in there. I used a different kind of yeast this time, i wondering if that's why its pushing so much...
Good Evening all,
So I have had this in my primary fermenter for the past 4 days. There is still a small bit of head on it. Do you think I can transfer it to my carboy now or should I wait for it to go down?
See photo
Thanks!!!
Ryan
Hey there,
The attached photo shows my current brew. I was wondering if I should be using a smaller Carboy as there is a lot of room. Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers!
