I was wondering if anyone has ever bottled with brown sugar. I have brewed a brown ale and thought about giving it a differant twist with brown sugar. I know u can use it to up the abv but wasn't sure about for carbing.
So I warmed it up to about 72 and it took off in the middle of the night now it's bubbling like crazy and it's actually rolling in the carboy the sediment is being picked up off the bottom and floating around. Im still pretty new at this never seen that before.

Thank you all for the quick responses I was in freak out mode this is my first batch so I wasn't sure what to expect. That was a surprise when I got home from work.
So I brewed my fist batch of milk stout this weekend it has been fermenting for almost 48 hours and the foam has filled the void in the top of the carboy and has turned the water in the air lock the same color as the beer what should I do from here!
