Homebrew Talk - Beer, Wine, Mead, & Cider Brewing Discussion Forum

Help Support Homebrew Talk:

I was born and raised in the Yakima Valley, world famous for our hops and worked for a few years as a Hop Inspection Supervisor for the USDA. I am certain I was the first homebrewer EVER to brew with the secretive "Warrior" hop variety long before it was a commercial release (my one claim to fame). I have been brewing over 25 years. I was one of the founders of the IBU homebrew club in Spokane, the largest homebrew club in Eastern Washington. I also resurrected the HOPs Homebrew club in Pullman Washington and served as first president. I have a Master's Degree in Fruit and Vegetable Horticulture from Washington State University. Recently divorced single dad to two beautiful girls. I am the Principal Agronomist for the Lamb Weston Company.

I have lots of hobbies including, but not limited to-video games, metal detecting, gold prospecting, brewing (duh!), playing guitar, fly-tying, beekeeping, gardening, collecting comic books, making cheese, all kinds of fishing (trout, bass, steelhead, salmon), camping, growing mushrooms, and dutch oven cooking.

I have gotten pretty crazy the past couple years and have added a 4 tap kegerator, a yeast culturing facility, a Robobrew gen 3 and a keezer to my brewing arsenal.
