Here is what I decided to try with the help from the local brew store (American Brewmasters). It is mostly an extract recipe with some steeping grains. Any comments would be appreciated.

Instead of using the brown sugar and honey I was going to just add some 22 oz. of Amber DME. Also using Target (bitter) and Golding (aroma) hops.
Some brew friends and I wanted to get a little brew on this Saturday. There are several that want to brew including myself. We picked a central location which leads me to the question I have.

This weekend I was given some cool bottle labels for my first brew from my SWMBO. They have the brew date, bottle date, a place to write in some info., and my ugly mug on the front. :cool:
Electric bass player here. Funky grooves fill my pocket. Also play a little piano and some six-string if it's acoustic. Played in some bands, but these days it is all about the day job.
Well, I'm not to far from that area. I don't know if there are others around, but I would assume so. I'm new to the wonders of home brew, but have some buddies. Maybe we can get something going a little closer to home.

I inhabit the mighty town of Coats. Which is a short 20 minute ride from Fuquay Varina. I can't wait to get started and after looking around a bit, its a real nice place you've got here.
