Imperial Mint Chocolate Oatmeal Milk Stout Suggestions

Waaaaay undershot OG 1.064. A bit disappointing. Stuck sparge - should have used rice hulls. Was trying a stainless steel braid for the first time instead of the cpvc rig, not that that had anything to do with it. ended up with a lot of extra beer, probably 6.0-6.5. if I would have had more time...

Imperial Mint Chocolate Oatmeal Milk Stout Suggestions

I didn't get around to brewing this today - tomorrow should be a go. And yes I'll attempt to let it age - though I'm sure I'll be testing it out along the way. I'll be sure to post the results.

All-Grain to Extract Conversion help (Goose Island Green Line Clone)

well just got done. used my new electric keggle (1 element 1500 element). took for-ever to get it to a boil, but alas it did happen - though not as hard as I would like. Ended up with OG of 1.044 and a bit more beer than expected. I guess I'll step up the grains for this set up, and eventually...

All-Grain to Extract Conversion help (Goose Island Green Line Clone)

So I'm planning on brewing this tomorrow but have a yeast problem. Didn't have enough time to do a starter of washed wlp 01. But I do have the following dry yeasts on hand: Windsor S-04 Safbrew T-58 I'm guessing definitely not the safbrew t58 but, any suggestions? I'm not necessarily looking...

    Heatstick extension cord question

Okay so being that I botched this project.... can anyone provide a link to the most basic electric brew kettle setup. I'm not looking to buy any temp control devices at this point. I'm currently doing 5 - 6 gallon batches and would think I'd only need one 1500 element to maintain a boil, and a...

    Heatstick extension cord question

So I built a heatstick (1500w element). I tested it today in about 5 gallons of water and it got it up to a boil in about 25 to 30 minutes with an additional gas burner to get it started. Anyhow my question is, I had it plugged into one of those orange 3 way extension cords so that I could reach...
