[DIY] Adding a Hookup for a Wort Chiller Under the Sink

After moving into the new house, I've been boiling wort at the stove instead of outside. I then have to make the treacherous journey down a couple stairs and ~30 feet away from the stove to the back patio, all while carrying 50 lbs of boiling-hot wort. This is of course a bad idea, so I...

How-To: ITC-1000F Digital Temperature Controller Project Box

I recently built a project box for using the Inkbird ITC-1000F digital temperature controller to control both heating and cooling. I put together a video on making the box for those of you who might be interested: Parts list is in the video's description. I'm using this to control my...

Keezer Build - Walnut and Anigre

Sorry if I missed it in the thread, but would you mind sharing how much this project cost? That anigre is stunning.

My bar....n build (bar in the barn) thus far

You have no idea how jealous I am of this project. I'm a hobbyist woodworker and full-time structural engineer, so this project would play to both of those interests. I can't wait to see the finished product (love the tiger maple on the coffin box btw). Oh, and please tell me you guys added...

    unusual bottles.

I totally forgot about Belgian bottles, like Duvel, which is the same as the one above. Only problem is that the beer in that kind of bottle are usually fairly expensive.

    unusual bottles.

    It hasn't worked for me.

    unusual bottles.

Red Stripe is pop-off, but the labels are screen printed and damn near impossible to get off. Orval bottles are interesting (kind of look like potion bottles from video games) and they can apparently hold a crap-ton of pressure too.

Just got my first caps in from Bottle Mark

Love the logo. That's gotta be one of my favorites out of ALL the beer I've seen.

    Stainless Fermenter Build

Ok, I couldn't tell from your original pics/plans that you were putting a lid like that on it. In that case, your solution with the tubing should work fine, assuming positive pressure in the tank or equal pressure with the outside air. If it were me, I would still try to get some of that...

    Stainless Fermenter Build

Why not seal the top entirely and add an access port with a smaller, circular hole? I'm thinking something like the top of a Better Bottle that you could just seal up with a regular gasket and airlock. However, then the problem comes that you don't full access to the fermenter like you would...

    More crates

Unfortunately I thought about making them "lockable" after I had finished making them. They're fine if you only have a couple stacked in a relatively undisturbed area, but higher stacks I'd want something to keep them all in line. For the plans I'll share here I will make that correction, but...

    More crates

That's one downfall of this design, but since we keep our beer in the basement under a blanket or in a closet, I wasn't too worried. Luckily, I managed to score a dozen of the amber Grolsch bottles at an antique store for $18, so those will provide a little better light protection than the...

    More crates

I built one that holds (12) 22oz bombers but didn't take a picture of it. I can include the plans for that as well.

    More crates

This past weekend my brother urbanmyth and I made a few beer crates since we're running out of horizontal real estate in the basement. All are made out of scrap dimensional lumber. The Grolsch one was made from a ~4' section of 4x4 and the rest from 2x4s. The individual pieces are 1/2"x1-3/8"...
