Sorry it is 220. I was still half asleep when I wrote it. It's inefficient but it was free. The transformer actually will go both ways. It can downstep it to 110 or upstep to 220.
I have a question for any of you electrically inclined people. I have a freezer that I got for free that I want to use as a fermentation chamber. The thing is that it is a 210 volt freezer running through an inverter changing it to 110. My question is how do I hook a temp controller to it or...
Jesup, Ga here. Fairly new to brewing. So far I have a mead and a couple of ciders under my belt. Really enjoying my new hobby.

I'm like you Paps. I had mine in primary for a month and then in secondary for about 3 months and that was without any cinnamon or anything added. I've had several people try it and they like it but to me I say its still about 60/40 to the alcohol side of the taste even sitting that long.
Mine is getting better as it goes along. It is 6 months old now since I bottled it. It still has a very slight hint of a bitter taste but I believe that is from the strong honey I used and probably the berries too. Flavor is great to me.
I've only made mead so far and had a question. When making cider do I need to degas for the first several days or do I just leave it alone and let it do its thing. In other words, does it need to be oxygen mixed in like mead does.
This is a cherry berry that I'm getting ready to bottle. It is mostly strawberry with some cherry. Really just depends on how red you want it. Not the greatest pic but the color on the left of the picture is closest to what it looks like in person.
