Hello all, sorry for the lack of response, have not been on the forum much lately. I did not go with the Danby, I did not want to deal with the tower and other issues. I went with a small upright from HD...
Hello all,
After weeks looking around here I've finally decided to build my own mini-fridge kegerator build. Here are the parts I'm going to use, appreciate any feedback. Also, had to go mini fridge route due to lack of space.
Mini fridge: Danby 4.4 Model # DAR044A4BDD $250 new from HD...
No worries, here is the newer model on HD webpage, I'm guessing it would be just fine?

Dam, now you have me thinking of getting a Danby and doing my own build! The Danby you got from HD is no longer offered. I'm thinking the key is size and no freezer?
Thanks for the feedback, I should have mentioned lack of space in my post. I'd like to put the kegerator in the dining room. The keezer seems like a bit of a hassle getting things in and out of it. I have to admit there are some really cool keezer builds posted here, but they look like a PITA...

I did hit an OG of 1.052, I wound up right at the 5-gal mark on the carboy. I just realized the recipe I was hybridizing was for a 1 gallon boil, so instead of an IPA I have a light ale. Just had a taste from the keg, carbination is almost ready and the taste is good, as long as you are not...
Thanks for the reply:
The volume of boil was 6 gallon and the target IBU according to Brewers Friend was 59.25. The reason I used Willamette as that is what the local shop had, they are not a true HBS, they have some products.
New questions,
what is hop stand?
Could I dry hop in the key...
First brewing in years, tired to make a simple IPA and brewing full boil for first time. Here are the details:
