    Miller Coolmate 4

Based on a quick look at the guts of the thing, that was my assumption. Really nothing there to chill the fluid, just blow off the excess heat. Thanks for the info.

    Miller Coolmate 4

I hope this is a good place for this post. I have come into 2 Miller Coolmate 4 welding system coolers. Anybody know how cool these things can get their coolant? Do they have any value for jacketing a fermentation tank? Or perhaps to run coolant for wort chilling?

    Ranco blows...My 2 cents.

I didn't bother calling support since the problem is well documented on the web, and it is also a generally fatal error. I just didn't think, based on what I read, that support would add anything to the process.

    Ranco blows...My 2 cents.

That's awesome. I'm glad to hear you're getting such good use out of them. I just wanted other people to know that they didn't last more than a year and a half for me, and I consider that unacceptable. What do you think the acceptable use life of this should be? At what point would you...

    Ranco blows...My 2 cents.

My Ranco died a couple days ago after about a year and a half of use. It threw up the "E2" error code which by all accounts on the net is fatal. I tried everything I could find online but, it proved to be futile. So with that I swapped it our for a Love controller and am moving forward. I'm...

    Dear LHBS Owner (venting)

Hi all, back from the far north woods of Wisconsin. Some really good stuff in here. I really do get down when i hear how good some of you guys out there have it. I'm still not sure if I'll actually send the letter or not, I don't know if it really worth it. I'll keep you posted.

    Dear LHBS Owner (venting)

Dear Local Home Brew Store Owner, I have been brewing now for four years, and have been coming to your store that whole time. I have noticed in that time that your business has really declined. I want to continue to give you my business, but you are making it difficult. Let me offer you a...

    Corny keg hose barb

    Creamy malty ale

I'm looking for a bit of an education here. What gives beer a creamy malty flavor? I've seen several recipes that call for different adjuncts like corn, wheat, or oats. Additionally, it there a different ration of malt to hops that should be observed? I'm asking because I am a bit of a hop...

    Soda dispensing system

I'm probably a month or so away from any results but I will be sure to let everybody know how it turns out. It should prove to be pretty exciting.

    Soda dispensing system

It is post mix. david_42 what about the pressures. The soda system runs the CO2 at 90-100 PSI. Any concerns there?

    Soda dispensing system

I need a little help from the brain trust on this one. I have purchased a carbonator pump system for soda serving and was struck with an idea. Would it be possible to connect the water out of the resivoir to a corny keg thereby having a complete 5 gallons of carbonated soda. Then hooking the...

    Electric Keggle

Short answer, is no. I went off and built 2 1200 watt heat sticks, plugged them into different circuits, and put my kettle over my electric stove, guess what it never boiled. It took over an hour to heat to 210 degrees, and never in the course of the next hour did I get a "boil". Sure the...

    Craigslist RSS Feeds

I would add -drip for the hookers search also:D I have taken to searching http://crazedlist.org/ which allows you to search multiple/all craigs lists at once. A little trick to set up, but well worth the effort.

    Brutus Ten ????

I was deeply interested in the "10" setup when I came across the "20" and am eager to try it. I just need to figure out how to weld now, something I've been wanting to learn anyway. The simplicity of the 20 seems pretty neat, it just looks like several variables have been removed from process...
