You know you're a home brewer when?

When you think to yourself, "the snow is really flocculating well today."

    Motorized Monster Mill Build

I just built one of these too, used a motor listed as 1800rpm with the reducer in the earlier post, I don't have any problems. I'm pretty sure the 1800 is the rpm without a load and 1750 is with a load, and they are a different representation of the same thing

    Critique my honey ale.

I made something similar in all grain that I have had on tap for a few weeks now, I used 1lb of honey malt and .75 of crystal 10L in a 1.075 grain bill. I also used 2oz of goldings at 60 for bitterness, still way to sweet, if I do it again I'll remove the crystal and cut the honey malt to .5 -...

    Drinking Buddies

I vote Olivia Wilde. The movie is already available on iTunes I believe, and maybe some cable company's on demand.

is there a side mounted airlock?

You could drill a hole in the side and fit a stopper, then strap/glue/tape a small cup just below the hole and run a small piece of blow off tubing from the stopper into the cup, that should work I think

Foam when pouring beer from tap

It could be a few things, and probably some combination. If it is like this for the first pour only when you pour consecutive beers it's probably due to the line warming, depending on your setup it might be possible to do something about it, I have seen a few threads about it but haven't done...

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Bourbon Vanilla Porter (AG)

Maybe a leak in the pressure relief valve? You could try disconnecting the keg for a few days and then try to release pressure, if nothing comes out then you will know if you have a bad o-ring somewhere. Sounds like something is definitely wrong though

The single best beer bar in your state?

Representing the west side of Michigan I'm going to have to vote Hopcat in Grand Rapids

What else would I need to start kegging?

With what you have you can really only do one at a time. You would need another set of hoses, picnic tap (if you are sticking with that dispensing method) gas and liquid post for each additional keg and a gas manifold for the size of the setup. You would run a line from the regulator to...

    1st Saison Attempt Recipe Critique

I think the corn sugar percentage is a little on the high side, I would probably substitute half a pound with another half pound of wheat or Pilsen. You don't need secondary, and I wouldn't steep anything additional for this. As for the spices you shouldn't need them with this yeast strain...

    Unscrewinm valve from manifold

I clamped mine down to a table and used a large pipe wrench, they don't come off easy

    Kegging Question

A lot of people do, you can buy counter pressure bottle fillers to do this and there are a few DIY contraptions and techniques on this site. Personally I fill a growler or two when visiting friends and it works great for me

    Problems Force Carbing

This is what I would do, disconnect the supply from the keg, leave pressure in the line, and shut off the tank and see if the line holds pressure. If it does I think your setup is fine, you could have a leak from a bad o-ring on the keg so check that or replace it if you have a spare. The...

    do you brew alone?

I have always brewed alone, I am surprised that I am in the majority on this though.
