Differences in bottle strength?
In addition to the other comments here all bottles have a lifetime. Now most bottles are designed for single use even if they aren't twist-off. When you reuse these bottles you are already on borrowed time. After a certain number of uses they will break even without over-priming or...- giant-steps

From Port Huron eh? I was born and grew up there. Small world. I used this recipe except I used 7 lbs of light LME instead of a 3.3lb can of Bierkeller and 3 lbs of light DME and I added 8 oz of maltodextrin with my priming sugar.
