Does anyone live in the north Idaho area and like beer? I recently happened upon a great brewery in Wallace Idaho! Anyone in the area should definitely come visit and have a beer. There is talk of a brew club that is well on its way. Let's network and make this brew club awesome!!!
So i have noticed that when I open a cold beer there is a big difference in the head in the glass than when I open another beer of the same kind. The cold one has smaller bubbles and less head whereas the warm one has larger bubbles and a lot more head. I pour them both the same way. Does anyone...
Was just thinking about making a chocolate mint stout. Has anyone ever added mint to their beer? If so when do u add the mint? Is it like a dry hopping type deal or do u add it at the end of the boil?
ok thanks. the odor of the beer is sweet, not bad at all. it just has a wierd sour cherry taste to it. i cooled it down as fast as i could with a cold water bath in the sink like all my beer. ill definitly let you know how it turns out in about 3 weeks. thanks for everything! cheers
Yes it was an old kit. I had no clue that time can change the malt this much. Im thinking about bottling it anyways and trying it about 3 weeks down the line. maybe it will taste like a nice sour beer. Not likely though. its all trial and error. deffinitly learned from this cheap experiment. cheers
My friend and i went to buy ingredients for a IPA at a local brewshop and found a muntons mexican cerveza brew kit for 7 bucks. So we got it to see what a brew kit like this is like. ive never done a kit like this. after about a week and a half i tasted it and found that it has a sour fruty...
I usually go to the store and get some utterly delicious six pack. When I have no home brew left. Basically it's all about relaxing and having fun it should be in no way stressful. Have an amazing first brewing experience and let us know how it turns out.
Also I might add quite possibly the most important thing you can do while whipping up a batch of the delicious substance that we call beer. That is the golden rule. Relax and have a home brew! Cheers!!!
I Sanitize my brewing equipment with idophor and always worry that it's going to give off flavors to my beer due to it's smell after I sanatize my carboy. Can the idaphor smell give off flavors or am I just worried about nothing?
