What half-a$$ electrician comes up with this?

Unfortunately, it's all too common. Without getting into the ridiculous quagmire of corner cutting that is my garage, I'll mention that my room while in high school (second floor) was wired on the same circuit as the garage following my parents' remodel; I was late to school a lot when I used...

    Dead mouse (little F'er)

That depends on the... condition of the condom. I would go ahead and hit it with bleach, PBW/oxyclean and bleach again. Your bleach solutions should be STRONG. I bought a 5 gal carboy from a coworker with a skeletal mouse in the bottom (package deal with 4 more sans-mouse skeleton) and did the...

    Canned craft brew.

Cans are great for large distribution, small variety operations. The reason for this is the necessary massive order of cans (essentially a semi trailer's worth). Most breweries can't store or afford that much of a single packaging variety. I drink a good bit of craft beer in the can...

    Freezing point of Star San?

You're probably OK. 1. It'll take some time for the temperature to get to 31. 2. There is some thermal mass to the star san solution. 3. As foyt20 said, if the beer is in active fermentation the agitation will stave off freezing. You'll probably see some ice crystals but I'd guess...

    Waskawee Wabbits!

Nah, it's rabbits. They have a fancy for the tips of the shoots. Rabbits nipped a number of tips from mine this year but they just couldn't keep up with the sheer number of bines my Cascade produced.

    Resume Help

Personally, I wouldn't put that on the cover letter. However, it is something that should be brought up in the first interview to the effect of, "I know I may seem overqualified given my level of education but I don't expect to be paid any more than a candidate with similar experience and only a...

    Dead squirrels are fun

It's like a car accident... I just can't look away.

Notice: Sam Adams Summer Ale no good

Sorry to hear that... IMO Oberon has gotten worse year over year for at least the past 4 years. I bought my obligatory annual six pack of disappointment to taste the slightly hazy, excessively clean tasting (adjuncts?) light ale it's become. I sampled a draft with the same conclusion last week.

How many gallons of EdWort's Apfelwein have been made?

Adding flavor to a carbed keg???

Yup, you've got it right. There is some risk of contamination, but you've already got a CO2 blanket and hopefully the cherry flavoring you're putting in is sanitary. I would recommend pulling a couple pints to create enough headroom to get some good slosh instead of trying to manually mix it...

    Let's talk minivans

Long live Old Blue! Don't do this at home, or anywhere else for that matter, it's ridiculously unsafe.

    Let's talk minivans

As much as I hate to admit it, I think you made the right choice. My family has a long history of minivans and the latest generation was a big step down for Chrysler. 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan - 191,000 miles, heavy tow duty, lost the AC clutch ~20k ago, as-yet undetermined intermittent...

    Loc-Line

I've got the Loc-Line set up in my mash tun. It works great. You kinda have to guess at the proper depth but that's not too difficult.

    Serving a Beer Snob

Frequent brewpubs and microbreweries exclusively, then you won't have this problem. ;)

    Which Bayou to buy?

I assume you are brewing 5 gallon batches. If you're intending on continuing with the same volume I would recommend getting one of the standard (relatively cheap) cast "swirl" burners. They're commonly available for turkey fryers. My recommendation is to shop around for a burner that comes...
