I've come to the same conclusion about a seperate fridge, need the temp constant to calculate for the balance of the system. But that very much spoils the portability of the brews. At the moment I'm trying to emulate a pub real ale as best I can. Once I've achieved it I'll probably just adjust...
I'm currently trying to do the same by using a sparkler on some tubing from my corny keg. I had intended on not over carbing it naturally, and just using the gas to force through a sparkler.
Any tips would be great.
Thanks
Thanks for your help with the cider.
I have another question regarding the brewferm mini kegging system if anyone has used it before. Essentially I have kegged my beer as per the instructions. But it's using the gas that I'm struggling with, is there a specific way to do it? I have a nitrogen...

Thanks...

I had read about stoping the fermentation so the
Cider doesn't become to dry. Doing this by cold crashing? would the yeast not activate again once it warmed up to room temperature?
Hi, I am in a rather similar situation. I am about to do my very first cider. I will be pressing apples from a tree in the garden and have no real recipe as of yet for quantities of sugar or gravity readings for sweetness.
What are you using for your starter? I was going to just buy some pure...
