where can i fill a CO2 tank in Christiansburg VA?!

Just hit up Arcet and did an exchange. I wasn't crazy about giving up my shiny tank, but there isn't a single place around here that fills them, not even the paint ball shops (they don't have the adapters to fit 5 pounders). Thanks a lot for your replies!

where can i fill a CO2 tank in Christiansburg VA?!

Hey guys, I've been calling just about every welder in town with no luck. I live in the Christiansburg area of Virginia and am starting to think I am the only one in the area with a keggerator. Does anyone know where I can get a 5 lb tank filled? Thanks,

No wonder i have a low effeciency!

They do make $100+ thermometers that many swear by, I however, don't have the cash. What I do to combat the problem is use 2 long stem thermometers and two floating candy thermometers. Yup that's right, 4 thermometers. All of them tend to be within 4-8 degrees of eachother. I then take an...

First All Grain - Please check my recipe

I haven't experimented much with peel, but the couple recipes that did call for it, called for just the zest. I found that it provided an added level of overall bitterness rather than the taste of the actual fruit. I can't say anything about your schedule, as I've never dealt with multipul...

Moving and HAVE to take my primary along...help!

I generally like to wait around 4 weeks on an IPA but in your situation, I'd make an exception. You could just bottle/keg it at the 3 week mark, or somewhere close. You're still gonna end up with a great beer.

Tonight I make it skin deep!

This will be cool to see. Personally, i'd leave out the text. I was never a big fan of text in tattoos, but that's just me. I think your idea alone would speak for itself. Still, a badass idea nonetheless. Can't wait to see it!

    Erlenmeyer flask on induction cooktop

Pisses you off doesn't it? Sorry to hear about that man, i hope you were at least able to get the wort out like i was. I could never bring myself to buy another one. I just boil in a pot and then use a coffee pot for my starter since it has a flat enough bottom for the stir bar to spin. Better...

    Collar or Tap Tower?

I use a tower on my keggerator and installed a fan that blows cold air from the bottom up into the tower through a tube. Even still, that first pint of the session foams a bit more than the rest, but it is by no means a show stopper. As far as the overall temperature of that first pint, you...

    Stone Cold

Just make sure you give your taste buds a rest after the Ruinnation, you're gonna want to give that smoked porter your undivided attention. You're in for a real treat!

    Prost to Brewmasters Warehouse!!!

When I used to live in Marietta, I'd go in there all the time for my supplies. Those guys run a pretty tight ship. I really like the fact that they don't charge extra to mill your grain like some other online vendors do. BMW is the only vendor I use.

    Corny Keg Shortage

Damn! Last summer I brewed for a wedding and bought 5 ball locks from a guy for a hundred bucks. I couldn't imagine paying $125 for a brand new one. I hope 9 cornies total is enough to hold me off.

    The waiting game

Hey, good luck with that, I hope you get some decent beer from it. I did 3 Mr.Beers before buying a home brew kit. One of them was decebt, the other 2 were awful. Mr. Beer is great to start with, but if for whatever reason it isn't what you expected, don't think that's as good as it gets. You...
