It's that time of year-- Recommendations for winter seasonal/holiday/spiced etc.

I do like Old Guardian! Killer Penguin is actually available near my parents' house, and that's where I'll be come Christmas, so I might be able to get my hands on that.

It's that time of year-- Recommendations for winter seasonal/holiday/spiced etc.

So it's November now, and getting to be that time of year when I wean myself off IPAs (slightly), and embrace the season(als). A lot of the seasonal stuff is on store shelves now, so I figured I'd share a few of my favorites and get some recommendations for others that. Here's some of what...

    Budweiser

Not sure if they still sell it there, but when I studied there in 2000, you could get Anheuser-Busch Budweiser there. Of course, because of the whole name thing, it wasn't called Busweiser. It's just called "B". That's it. Capital letter B.

    Where to drink in DC?

Don't overlook Capital City Brewery when you're in DC. They've got an Imperial Stout that will knock you on your ass. It's as dark as Ten Fidy and pretty damn good.

When I go to a real beer bar, expect to see at least a few things that I can't get easily elsewhere. There was no "wow, I...

A few newbie equipment questions, and wort chilling

Looks like a wort chiller will be high on my list of upgrades. I'd consider building one myself. Is the copper easy to bend? I think my main concern would be figuring out how to get a 20-foot piece of copper tubing home from the store. Either way, it'll be my next big investment in my setup.

A few newbie equipment questions, and wort chilling

Hey guys, I'm new both to home brewing and to the forum (this is my first post). So I just brewed my second batch of beer last night (an amber ale/IPA hybrid from a friend's recipe), and I'm still working with pretty basic equipment. I enjoy doing it, and I think that sooner or later, I'll...
