    Brewie

Since my brewie always shoot over the water supplied with 7% (constantly) the efficiency calculated by Brewie will always be wrong for me (since the volumes are wrong) so cant really compare it but I think both system do a theoretical calculation based on the suppliers reported content in the...

..and on the topic doing something else for some hours..:). Only way for me to get over 70% in efficiency on an 6%ABV IPA on full volume was to stir the wort. Since I bought the Brewie+ to be able to turn on and walk away I developed the below solution. The Stirio is probably out of stock (used...

    Brewie+ vs Picobrew Z

My answers below. Reminding that I have a 220v version which dont hae the overheating problem that man 120v seems to have. 1. Can I dump water straight into the unit, or does it need to be filled water via the water inlet? As I live in an apartment, my only access to water is my kitchen and...

    Brewie+ vs Picobrew Z

I dont know anything about Pico but want say that I am happy with my Brewie+ based on what I needed. I had a rather big system that I build myself before but because of family situation (read kids...) I got less and less time for brewing. I bought the Brewie+ since I wanted to put it on and...

Since the international transport cost was so high I ordered mine from China (Alibaba) instead. I ordered 2 of them for $46 each (+VAT). Transport cost (for both) was $108 (+VAT) so mostly for international users of the forum. The one abov is probably best choice if you live in US.

English Ales - What's your favorite recipe?

I have been going through most of the posts but I might have missed it, I tried a Fullers IPA (not esb) when I was traveling and at the time I found it fantastic. I could sens a lot of EKG in it and fairly heavy malty flavor (for those cold days in front of the fire). Has anybody heard of a...

    Brewie

Cleanuptime vary but if I do a 5,5 kilo, 22liter Helles it takes less than 7 minutes up to 20 min with a heavy 7kg 20liter hoppy IPA that hav boiled over a bit. You start a full clean (program) and in my setup I start to scrubb the "lids" and the upper side of the machine. I help the "Pre clean"...

    Brewie

I have the 240 version (Lives in Sweden) and havent done the modification. To free up space under the machine probably helps for heat transportation as well but we will see down the line if I have to start modding. Fredrik

    Brewie

Hi, Found a lot of info in this thread on why not to buy the Brewie+ but did it anyway. My wife wanted me to stop brewing because of the sweet lovely malt “smell” that woke her up every Sunday (I know, she is crazy) and that I had to spend more time with my family. Since I have been married for...
