Hello, I started this one gallon batch two weekends ago and it had a very vicious active fermentation (my first time using LalBrew New England Dry Yeast). All visual activity stopped a week after yeast pitching with some yeast making up the airlock (this was my first time seeing that happen)...
Hey all. I finally got to the stage of bottling my first beer this past Saturday. It was a total PITA. My bottle tip filler kept getting clogged and building up pressure and disconnecting from the tubing. I realize this is my fault from having so much junk at the bottom of my fermenter...
I did an ice bath for the wort in a cooler for 20 minutes, but I didn’t think to check the temperature (next time I will). As for the type of yeast I cannot speak to that as it came in the kit with some rebranding.
Howdy,
I attempted my first time brewing from a Northern Brewer gallon kit, which I feel like the wort stages went well. I am worried about yeast that I pitched. It has been 38 hours now and there is no visual activity.
I have it fermenting in a bathroom which is out of direct sunlight...
