Thanks for the info. I have been following you since you started your build. I guess I missed were you talked about the logs. And I have seen your other builds. Love them all. Cant wait to give it a shot. I have to sell my house and buy another to do this. Might give it a shot redoing...

    My Basement Bar Build

Just picking your brain, I want to copy some of your work. I'm pretty good at wood working, but I have never worked with logs. I can get cedar logs and want to split some like you did. Can you tell me how you are splitting your logs on a table saw without them rolling and making them...

    Rebuilding regulators

As far as I can tell it was leaking were the pin comes through the diaphragm. It has been on my tank pressurized for two weeks and have not lost any pressure. If you have a week spring, I would think it can leak gas through the diaphragm because it is not seating properly. The new kit the...

    Rebuilding regulators

Time will tell, but as far as I can tell how they work, the spring needs to have tension on the valve. It was not seating properly. The diaphragm is fine. After reading the instructions that came with the kit, it tells you to replace the spring.

    Rebuilding regulators

I searched this forum and on line and could not find much information on rebuilding regulators. My regulator is a North American Dispense System (NADS) Model # 70012. This company is no longer in business but was bought out by Tapright and they no longer make this regulator or parts for it...

    Man, I love Apfelwein

The smell is like a spoiled apple smell and it taste like something a little spoiled. The over flow was when it was fermenting, it went into and out of the air lock. There was some settlement in the air lock. The color looks like a lighter apple juice. Just had the usual settlement in the...

    Man, I love Apfelwein

Did I screw up my Apfelwein? I made my first batch on 10-30-11 and kegged it today. Tasted it, and it had a funny flavor and smell. Not sure what it was supposed to taste like or smell like. I put san-star water in the air lock because I did not have any vodka on hand. I know I did have a...

WTT 5 gallon pin lock for ball lock.

That is too far of a hike. If I had a lot to trade, it would be worth it. I now only have one left. Found one person to trade one. I would be willing to through in $10 too to trade for a ball lock.

WTT 5 gallon pin lock for ball lock.

I though about changing the fittings. I did not realize the ball locks are in short supply. Last time I bought a ball lock I paid $25 each. That was about 3 years ago.
