Time will tell, but as far as I can tell how they work, the spring needs to have tension on the valve. It was not seating properly. The diaphragm is fine. After reading the instructions that came with the kit, it tells you to replace the spring.

That is too far of a hike. If I had a lot to trade, it would be worth it. I now only have one left. Found one person to trade one. I would be willing to through in $10 too to trade for a ball lock.

I though about changing the fittings. I did not realize the ball locks are in short supply. Last time I bought a ball lock I paid $25 each. That was about 3 years ago.
