Since I'm new here, figured I'd put some bona fides in here. Brewing alomost 10 years, have built several systems (including 1 barrel HERMS for brewclub), kegerators, etc. Almost always tinkering with something brew related.
With Drew Beechum, successfully produced the first homebrewed Brut beers (like Deus Brut de Bosteels, Malheur Brut Noir, etc). See http://www.maltosefalcons.com/tech/methode-champenoise-beer for more info. Drew wrote about the process in Zymurgy, and we presented a seminar on the subject at the 2009 AHA NHC in Berkley. I also presented a seminar on brew-related tinkering called "The Equipment Geek".
Created the "Slots o' Hops" homebrew slot machine - a scratch built slot that pays off in Homebrew (if you're lucky!), Falcons' portable oak bar that has served as the Hospitality Suite bar at the Vegas, Denver and Oakland NHCs, etc.
