    Simple labels are better.

I used vistaprint for the cards. It took just a few minutes. The only reason I did business card was because my wife had her business cards sitting right next to the computer. I designed a simple picture with text with a phone pic of my antelope on the wall. Your idea started the ball rolling...

    Show Us Your Label

I found the idea on another thread. I am using business cards (5 cents/card) with a hole punched in the upper left corner and hung on the bottle with a small rubber band. It should save hours of peeling labels and glue off the reused bottles.

You made life so much easier today......... I am going to get 250 business cards printed up for my labels for $10 with a bag of rubber bands. Thank you for the great idea.

    Cider bottling question

2nd on the mason jars.... Not a good idea They are meant for negative pressure canning, not a positive pressure that is produced with carbonation. The thin metal lids would exploded in no time flat. The only possible thing would be a water-bathed pasteurized still cider. Nothing with a positive...

Tell me about using plastic bottles to gauge carbonation

I am somewhat using you as my guide on this one. I bottled my first ever batch of cider on the 16th. I also did a back sweet for bottle carbing. I made sure I siphoned a very small amount of yeast into my bottling bucket. However, I did not pour a test plastic bottle. I am going to check my...

Where to get swing top bottles?

TTT I found these at Grocery Outlet in Grants Pass. I bought 6 and will go back for more. Sparkling Lemonade, obviously made for carbonated beverages. 1 liter bottles.

    Southern Oregon Newbie

I did use fresh apples. My neighbor across the street has six different apple trees that are all a different variety and there is a city own lot around the corner from my place that has a dozen apple and pear trees. I waited a little too long to decide to make my first batch. The only tree with...

    Southern Oregon Newbie

I found this website on a Google search while looking for information and help on making Cider. I am new to everything in brewing. I figured Cider would be the easiest starting point. Besides, my wife doesn't like Beer very much. Cider was suggested and that allowed me to get started. My first...

    Man; this is EASY!

Looks like I am gonna try your recipe next. I am one week into my first ever batch of any type of brew. I did 1 gal of juiced fresh apples from my neighbors yard with 1 cup sugar and 1 cup of honey. Please let me know how it went. Yours will be done before mine obviously.
