    Just kegged first batch...questions

    1. I thought it was ok to use an old 5 gal water cooler bottle as a secondary. Autosiphon too big to fit in the mouth. I had to simply pick it up and pour it into the sanitized keg. I sealed it and purged it a few times with Co2. Is all that oxygen while splashing in the keg gonna wreck it...

    Mongoose what is happening with the tubing from the air lock to the keg? I'm a newbee...wouldn't gravity just flow that beer into the keg?...THANKS

    So against everybody's advice(so if its crap its on me folks!), I tried to adjust it a bit, good thing I did..it was barely in there..I sanitized beforehand...took it out, took a sample with thief and sanitized again...placed it correctly...OG is reading 1.05 exactly where it supposed to be.     Wow, thanks alot. REALLY. so I have one MOOORE issue. I was worried about that cooling process so much that I moved it to the carboy a bit early at 80 degrees. I did take a reading with wine thief and hydrometer..I thought I read 1.07. The recipe calls for the OG to fall btwn 1.049- 1.053...

    Followed recipe to the letter. Everything sanitized prior to beginning. Read the "book". Watched a ton of videos. About five visits to 3 different Homebrew stores. making Dunkelwizen. Controlled the heat perfectly, no boilovers. So.........all done boil. already had my stainless steel...

    Ok so my favorite of all beers if Haupbrow Dunkel on tap, with guinness a close second. I was told the Dunkel is a Lager. I have the fridge to do that. Anyone recommend any kit specifically? There is a ton on Amazon. may just go to the shop thats been helping me

    I already bought the adapters for soda keg to my Beermeister, Thank You...and again NO direct sunlight will hit that fermentation fridge...But some indirect light does light up the garage a bit. Is that a problem?
