None of the stainless steel float valve on AliExpress have a threaded/barbed output. I though all hope was lost when I sent the largest brewing equipment retailer in NZ (www.brewshop.co.nz) a message and they just happened to have a new in box autosparge leftover from when they use to stock...
Sorry I don't think I was clear. I wasn't sure what the deal was with the outlet hole on the float valve. Most of them just looked like a round opening, so I wasn't sure if I could attach anything to the outlet side.
Hi team,
I've recently found that the Blichmann Autosparge is the perfect solution to a couple of issues I'm having. Only problem is I can't buy it in New Zealand and international shipping is prohibitively expensive. So I am looking to see if there is a DIY solution that does the same thing...
Hi Team,
I'm looking at adding 2 flow sensors to my set up, mainly just to keep a loose eye on the flow when sparging lautering. I've got 2 Sea YF-201, cheap jobbies that look exactly the same as the little black Adafruit ones (828).
Could someone please guide me on how to get them working...
I've got a strange problem that I think may be a grounding issue. Each time I turn off something that is using 240V (i.e. pump) my PC monitor (same circuit) briefly turns off then on, as does BruControl. All my temp sensors reset etc. I've followed the recommended wiring in the BruControl...
I've just managed to get BruControl working and am looking in the future to add a custom graphic behind all the in/out and data.
Please show me your designs so I can steal some ideas!
My SSRs seem to not be getting continuity on the live side when switched. They have solid 4.8V from the Arduino when switched on from BruControl. Any suggestions?
Thank you. Had soldered the amplifiers for 3wire but hadn't cut the traces. Even then, after much swapping and testing 2 out of 3 boards appear to be duds. Got one working and showing temperature correctly so am very happy about that. Will order some more amplifier boards. Too bad they aren't...
Hi All, new user of BruControl here with a couple of pics of my nearly finished setup and a question. I've recently installed BruControl after previously using CBPi and NodeRed.
I've got an issue with my RTD sensors not showing up any temperature values. I've added the SPI Sensor with the...
Most people have hoses as that is the easiest way to begin (or stay if you want). Silicone hoses are flexible, multi-use and and cheap. They can have a variety of disconnect fittings attached too.
As I am only just starting to go no hose change, most of the silicone hoses will remain until I've...
I've decided I will go this route, with the 4 3-way ball valves. Haven't ordered them yet, and unfortunately it'll take about a month for them to arrive off AliExpress. Still need to work out all the other fittings I'll need to complete it, since there will be a couple of extra hoses etc.
