    Thanks for your very thorough answer :) A lot of the very process-technical stuff I didn't understand unfortunately. I will probably understand better when I come back and re-read a few years from now when i have read more books :P

    Great explanations - thanks :) Just to be sure i understand correctly: With crash cooling the yeast starter you mean putting it in the refrigerator or the like. Or is there more to it?

    Not at all yeastie. Completely clear, but easy to taste that it's a wheat beer. The Hallertauer Mittelfrüh I used really shines giving a very suddle but delicate taste!

    I recently brewed my second ever all-grain recipe. My first all-grain brew was a borderline-disaster, even though the resulting beer ended up quite drinkable. I felt a lot more confident and made less errors for my second attempt - progress :) I read Palmers “How to Brew” (an excellent book)...

    In case anyone sees this and wonders, this is what happened. I let the beer thaw, repitched with fresh yeast and allowed it time to do its thing. I didnt see any bubbles in the airlock so fermentation must indeed have been finished. I bottled about a week later. The beer turned out fine, but...

    Unfortunately my homebuilt temperature controlled fermentation freezer went haywire and froze my Hefe Weizen in the making. Primary fermentation was done (one week in, no more bubbles). Should I repitch or will any yeast (wlp300) have survived at all? Help :(
