No Chill Results Thread - Post your good or bad notes here.

Hi there Yanky no chillers, I have basically only done no chill beers, as I don't have a hose to pump any water through a chiller to cool the wort down. As you all pretty much have found out there isn't much difference at all between no chill and chilled beers...I notice that some of you have...

Belgian Golden Strong Ale Duvel (AG)

I'm thinking of doing a double batch of this - no chill! Then doing one batch without pears and the other with pears - and I'll see how it goes. I'm hoping that one with the fruit is great, just a quick question, did you find that the fruit added a haze to the beer? Or did the extended...

    Nut flavour in beer

That was my concern - the oils ruining the head retention. I think extract would be the way to go - or making my own extract - boiling some water + sugar + nuts to make a syrup or something similar to the candi sugar recipes.

    Nut flavour in beer

Do you guys think that a nut flavour would go well in a beer? like a strawberry hazelnut cream ale etc? can nuts be used in beers, if so, what part of the brewing? I think that the flavour from nuts comes from the oil, which is bad yeah? Maybe a syrup or something (maybe for priming???)

Hey guys, I was wondering what ingredients in the beer and what part of the process helps with better retained heads and better lacing. Aside from the glass and the pouring of the beer - lets talk about the ingredients and process of brewing. Is it correct that its the protein in the...
