It's been so long since I have had a dark beer so I can't exactly remember but I do remember liking the ones I've tried and I kinda know myself by now so it was something strong tasting that I enjoyed and definitely loved the body/mouth feel of it. I do love chocolate so maybe that was it 😂

Edit #1: I don't have a hydrometer but after about 1.5 weeks after my post, I racked it into a carboy, back sweetened a little, and stabilized it. It didn't taste bad, but I didn't stir it enough during fermentation plus with the apple, it put off a lot of hydrogen sulfide and needs to age off...

I don't drink much beer but I do like dark beer for both the bitterness?(I think that's what I'm going for) and the body/richness. I don't like IPA's though, at least the few that I've tried and I'm not exactly sure why.
