Alright NBT friends I just made it back from my trip to Milwaukee and I figured I should first off thank you all for your recommendations. The trip was much faster than I thought it would be and I wasn't driving, so I was very limited to what I was able to do and drink. But here's what I ended...
Alright HBT friends. You gave me great places when I was in AZ. Now my job is sending me to Milwaukee Wisconsin. I really only have 2 nights to find a place to drink that fine beers of that state. So where's a good place to go? Also I'd like to bring back some bottles since we can't get Bell's...
I was just there on Saturday. We took the trip from Reno. I thought it was hands down the best IPA I've had. The hops were spot on and the 10% wasn't super hot. I'm glad I had a chance to try it.
Alright HBT friends. I just got back from AZ yesterday and because of all of your recommendations I had a great beer adventure to help break up the "business trip".
We started in Phoenix and went to Four Peaks for dinner. I ordered their beer sampler to get a taste of everything. All of their...
I live in Reno but will be on a trip for work next month. I'll be in Phoenix and Tucson AZ for 3-4 days and I'm wondering if there are any good microbreweries and/or brew pubs any of my HBT friends could point out to me.
It fairly mild for a sour, but at least you'll get an idea if you'll like them. The Lips of Faith Sour Brown Ale is really good also, but it's a much more "in your face" sour. One of my favorites though.
I think DFH Festina Peche is a really easy sour to get into. I believe they call it a "session sour". From there you can try an Eric's Ale from the New Belgium Lips of Faith series.
Just cleaning up after brewing a Pilsner for my dad. He always wants his friends to try my home brew. So instead of hitting them with a Vanilla Bourbon Stout I figured he could pass these around since most of his friends are BMC drinkers.
I want to use wax on on vanilla bourbon stout im bottling today, like how a Makers Mark bottle looks. But locally I can't get the wine wax pellets. Do you think candle wax from a craft store would work or should I just order the pellets online and wait?
Thanks for the info everyone. I think I'll keep with my secondary process for now. My beers are coming out super clear and I'd like to make sure that keeps happening.
