Just recieved my order yesterday.

I love the bigfoot. I e-mailed sierra nevada about a month ago to see when the release dates are, and they replied "mid to late January". I've been stopping by the store everyday now for about two weeks and nothing yet.:( Come February 1st I'll ask again.

I think I'll be starting a 'Fat Tire' clone in about 9 hrs.

I'm in the same boat as you, I placed an order with them a couple weeks ago. My order history still says 'order pending', I guess I'll see what happens come march.

Can differant types of hops cross pollinate if planted too close to each other? If so, what are the ill effects?

I'm glad to know it can be done in the heat, I was thinking of trying this spring and was worried about the same thing, even though my climate is a little more mild than humann's it still get pretty hot, 100+

Lets say on brew day that I smack it and nothing happens, would a packet or two of nottingham do the trick or do I need something special?

I bought a sierra nevada bigfoot clone a few weeks ago that came with the wyeast activator. My question is, is my yeast dead. The package sat at the post office for almost two weeks unrefrigerated, would this kill them?

Hi all, first post here. I have a whole three batches under my belt and haven't had the pleasure of drinking one beer, (of mine). 1 bottled, 1 in secondary and 1 in primary. I was just wondering how important temp is once it's in the secondary and bottled? Thanks, Dan
