    Thanks for the reponses, I think I shall invest a meter. Ruining 30 bottles would just be bad this time year.... Christmas guests tend to get a tad grumpy when the wine well runs dry. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

    I have been making various wines over the last few years and I just found this forum a couple of weeks ago... I learned just basic winemaking from my Amish neighbors which is as follows: ferment berries for 5 days stirring once a day.... Strain and add sugar and yeast. Let is perk till it...
