Have a Mr Beer and I have made 3 batches in it. I would like to try one of the mr beer cider refills. I notice that Mr beer sells a separate fermenter for cider. Is it necessary to buy it or is cleaning and sanitizing my beer primary enough to prevent any cross contamination?
My girlfriend lives in RI and driving through CT has made me break things in my car. Not only is there construction 100% of the time, but when other drivers see the construction, they freak out and slow to 45 mph. I cry when I see the "welcome to Connecticut" sign :'-(
Would it be worth it to rack the beer into a temp container, clean and sanitize my 2 1/2 gal primary, then use that as a secondary, or should i just let it sit in the primary for another week or so? Finding a 2 1/2 gal airtight container is proving difficult.
