Thanks for the replies. I decided to just try the regular Amber Ale recipe this time.
However, NB sent me an extra 3.3 Lb can of Amber LME accidently for free, so I can start planning to build my pumpkin ale with that and more LME.
So I have a NB Amber ale with:
Amount Item Type % or IBU
6.30 lb Amber Liquid Extract Extract 86.30 %
1.00 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 20L (20.0 SRM) Grain 13.70 %
2.00 oz Cascade [5.50 %] (60 min) Hops 21.0 IBU
1.00 oz Cascade [5.50 %] (1 min) (Aroma Hop-Steep) Hops -
1.00 items...
So I'm making a blueberry wheat, using the John Bull Masterclass kit. The SG was 1.040, and within 6 days in the primary it was around 1.008. I'm using the Safbrew WB-06 and the fermentation temp was a little high at 76 F.
So I racked it to the secondary over 5 lbs of previously frozen...
Has anyone primed with frozen concentrate? I will be bottling my batch and would like to prime have more apple flavor, but I certainly don't want bottle bombs!
I was figuring on using 1 can of concentrate (preservative free) for 5 gallons.
