2010 -2011 Bells Hopslam is it out yet?

It's at Bells and in stores. A halfway decent store that carries a variety of Bells will have it. (fwiw, I'm in Chicago and there are releases at the beginning of this week)

Ideas for Green St. Patty's Day beer

Why don't you just make a stout and crack it open after like two days. It'll be plenty "green" then! HaHA! Zing!

    Double Pale Ale vs (D)IPA?

While it may not actually "double" the amount of anything in the recipe, you're just adding equal portions of each to keep them in line. Generally, there is a greater imbalance between hop and malt flavor in an IPA. So making it a double is keeping the same imbalance between the two, while...

Brewers Best California Imperial Pale Ale

This kit absolutely kicks it. Arrogant Bastard is one of my favorites. Its more of a double pale ale than an IPA. It definitely has more malt to balance the hops. Tons of flavor, I've used this as somewhat of a model for my own "signature" brews.

10 tips to better extract brewing

Interesting, I understand. Now, why would recipe makers have you boil in 2 gallons, then add later? Just because they're assuming that you'll have a small stockpot and doing it on the stove? Luckily I got a big **** off stockpot and outdoor burner.

10 tips to better extract brewing

So, if I'm understanding this right, to steep small and boil big, one should steep in 1-2 gallons, then add a gallon or so and boil at 3 or more? I had been just steeping/boiling in 2 gallons, then topping off to 5 after the wort had been chilled. Should I go as low as 1 gallon to steep in...
