iSpindel both LED's lit when charging

Hello, My iSpindel has stopped working after a number of years. It was working fine and I charged the battery no problem. A few days later I went to make sure the battery was fully charged and both led's came on. I connected to my computer and got a reading in BPL but now it does not work...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Thank you, I totally understand what you are saying LBussy. I was playing catch up and was referencing a quote from yourself to bdogg171 where you said "Be aware that Fermentrack and BrewPi Remix should both be thought of as the "front end" to either ESP-8266 or Arduino Uno controllers. They are...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

If you wire the male as power (furthest from cable) then data and finally ground it doesn't cause any issues. Nothing is technically "connected" until the pin is home and power is applied. YMMV Cheers,

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Thorrak, my suggestion on this is the good old fashioned 3.5 mm stereo plug and socket. Works a treat and if you need to extend you just buy a male to female of the correct length and plug each end in. Small footprint on the box and foolproof. Short wire connections to board. HTH Cheers,

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Thorrak I noticed you had addressed this with an update so I clicked on the gear icon and selected "update from github" but I received a notice "Nothing to upgrade - Local copy and GitHub are at same commit" Is there a specific way I should be doing the update. SSH and use gpt-update? I really...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Hello all, not totally sure if this the right place to report potential bugs so, if not, please feel free to move and let me know. I have a fairly straight forward setup with a Rpi variant, Arduino Uno and dual SSR and all is in goodness. The issue is when I try to change the "data point log...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Thank you LBussy for the detailed explanation it all makes sense but some of the math is more than I really want to do just to brew beer. :) I do not enter comps and don't necessarily brew to style so for me missing SG by 0.001 probably won't be an issue and I am not sure I would notice with my...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Hello been following this thread for a long time now with very keen interest. Had a NUC lying around so installed Debian 9 and tested the BrewPiRemix install script which worked faultlessly (thank you LBussy) and have now ordered all the other bits to go with it. My question is can we use an...
