in the process of welding some bulkheads to my kegs and in my research I forgot to figure out what size nipples to buy... I have 1/2" npt bulkheads but am wondering what length nipples people are using to connect the bulkhead to their ball valves.... im thinking i may just get the shortest...

for cutting the hole I did as others suggested with the angle grinder and rested the guard of the angle grinder on the rim where the handles are and used it to keep me steady, I marked a circular line with a sharpie to make my initial line, did an initial slow and accurate cut with my angle...
