    Alabama...**sigh**

Whattawort: That's actually incorrect. Several years back, the homebrewers approached FTH about pushing the homebrew bill (not a constitutional amendment, just a change to the code of Alabama). At the time, FTH made it clear that they would support any endeavor, but it wouldn't be their...

I should also mention - it's large enough to comfortably hold 10 pin-lock kegs (assuming 2 are on the hump over the compressor). I think it will fit 11 ball-lock kegs, though I didn't get a chance to try.

15 cu ft chest freezer (cheap)

I'm nearly finished with a pretty massive kegerator (I'll post pictures of it soon). A couple weeks ago I mounted the collar and the tap box (which sits above and behind the freezer so they're out of the way when I want to open the lid and put kegs inside) on a 15 cu ft freezer I'd been...

From the various messages relayed from Mac and company, my guess is that Mac had the (more restrictive) bill we'd worked out all ready to go but could never get ABC to formally respond. Since they kept dragging their feet, and session days were passing one by one, he finally just dropped in the...

44 bill on the SOC. No homebrew bill.

Part of me is really tempted to call myself, but I don't think I could be patient with her. My three year old exhibits the same behavior: When he doesn't get his way, he makes sure everyone else is miserable. In the case of my child, he's disciplined when he acts in such a childish manner...

Actually, the bill was not voted on in the Senate last year. Two years ago it passed the Senate. Last year we started in the House and died there. We tossed around the idea of starting a different one in the Senate to get another chance at getting through the House, but there wasn't time. So...

The problem is that the homebrew bill isn't even being debated yet. And with the way the Democrats are playing, it won't be brought to the floor at all this year.

Actually, they're negotiating with the @*(&@# @$&(@#$ piece of *@$#*( Democrat Senator Smitherman to quit filibustering everything and slowing business down to a crawl. The offer was made to Smitherman a few minutes ago to have the Democrats pick 10 bills and the Republicans pick 10 bills, they...

And Senator Smitherman says he's going to filibuster for the next two hours.

They're done with the immigration bill.

Now on page 32 at 12:26 pm. 52 pages to go. Estimate that it finishes about 1pm. Then they'll probably break for lunch.

It's kind of funny. ALCAP cites a book on alcohol in the Bible (full disclosure: I'm a pretty conservative Christian myself and am very familiar with the Bible). I found the book online a while back and skimmed through it. They spend a good bit of time addressing Jesus' first miracle: The...

Since the question of thanking these guys has come up, a quick note on Mac McCutcheon: The ALCAP people (neo-prohibitionist religious right) are pissed at him for pushing the homebrew bill so hard. He's worked his tail off for us for 3 years now, and he's taking some heat for it. The word is...
