    My Kenmore 7.2 Coffin Keezer

I used decent sized castors from hd and the unit rolls really easy. I mounted it to the top boards of the base to save a little bit of height which might be of concern for you but with a collar on it, personally I would go with the coffin so you can get as closed to the unit as possible when...

    My Kenmore 7.2 Coffin Keezer

Stole the tap idea from this board and found them from micromatic pretty cheap. Everything else a got from kegconnection. I've got a mess inside as I haven't figured out where I want everything yet but have 2 beers going and 1 more carbing. It is way too easy to refill your mug. Still have...

    My Kenmore 7.2 Coffin Keezer

Stained it up only to realize I somehow used birch plywood for the dummy doors instead of oak. Needless to say it looked pretty crappy and had to remake the doors. Finished up the dummy cabinets with some metal straps and did a brick backspash to match the brick backsplash in the bar.

    My Kenmore 7.2 Coffin Keezer

I used oak floor planks leftover from when I built our house for the countertop.

    My Kenmore 7.2 Coffin Keezer

My cabinet was to big as we drank a little too much brew while thinking this through so cut of about 4 inches so it looks a little different.

    My Kenmore 7.2 Coffin Keezer

After months of reading and looking at other keezer builds, I got permission from the boss lady to do a coffin keezer. I must credit Jester and cgolden101 among others as none of these ideas were mine. I will say that if you do not have access to a mitre saw and table saw, you need to make a...

First shot at kegging - PSI to fix carb?

Just wanted to let you know the 2 weeks has produced a well carbonated beer. It's so much better than bottles. It's great to know that every beer is going to be carbonated correctly. I popped the porter in tonight and will follow Cider's method to see how it goes. Have a little more work to...

First shot at kegging - PSI to fix carb?

Thanks guys for all of the advice. Sounds like I should leave this one at 12 PSI for a couple weeks before I taste it again. I will give Cider's method a try on the porter that I'm moving from primary to secondary today and PDX's method on a farmhouse saison that I'm brewing today. I love...

First shot at kegging - PSI to fix carb?

So while building my Jester clone keezer, I knew I needed to have beer kegged and ready to go once I got her up and running. So I have a Maibock that fermented for about a month in the primary/secondary and then in a keg for about 2 more weeks at room temperature at 12 PSI. Got the keezer done...

    Foam Gusher when opening bottles?

My normal bottling method is: 1.Wash with antibacterial soap and water after drinking and put back into cardboard box from which then came in. I leave the flip tops on. 2. Day of bottling load them in dishwasher - rewash and add "Sani-Rinse" cycle and hi heat dry. 3. Take them directly from the...

    Foam Gusher when opening bottles?

Very funny Sudtirol. Same here about the sound. My wife runs for cover and my dog thinks it's pheasant season when I pop the top.
