I've been. It has more of a commercial brewery "feel" to it than some micros I've visited, but all-you-can-drink for an hour or so is nice. I'm a fan of their seasonals. Satsuma is fantasic, and their Strawberry Harvest Lager is amazing (but likely not on tap anymore).

I keep a spare 5 gallon corny that I fill with ~10lbs of ice to pre-chill my immersion chiller. Works great, cheap solution.

I don't do anything differently, except wait longer for my immersion chiller to work as tap temps are higher.

They do, indeed, have great prices on equipment. Bought a 15gal kettle there a while back, great deal. I recommend them.

I think you're confused on the meaning of user-serviceable. They would have the exact same chance of being damaged if subjected to liquid, but being non-user-serviceable, there's nothing you can do to fix it. At least with a laptop you can pull it apart and let it dry... For what it's worth...
