I started using a no-chill cube a couple of months ago and love it. It cuts about half the brew day off, and just requires a 5.5 gallon collapsible water jug. Leave it in the kegerator or on the counter and pitch the next day.

It really has more to do with the shooter and skill than a tiny compensator for an underpowered cartridge on a short barrel. I assume you are planning on carrying, due to the size you are looking at, generally 9mm is a better choice ballistically and can be fed much cheaper than 380.
