I brewed up a batch of this yesterday, and indeed, it did need a blow off, the the air lock popped out of the primary after 24 hours and had I had to scramble to rig up a blow off hose for a plastic bucket primary.
DragonTail, I am diggin' that Hop trellis setup you've got on your gallery, I am thinking of planting a hop garden this spring along with my regular garden. Looks like your PVC frame might be the way to go.
The switch to all grain has been very satisfying. I currently have an all grain Irish Red from last Sunday finishing in a primary, I will probably tranfer it to a secondary tonight.
