Not usually. I have a foam mat that I set then on. I was going to move the mat, so i carefully placed the carboy on the concrete... I won't be making that mistake again!

It has been going for about a year now. I was planning to age it for about another 5 years. Yes, I'm still intact. No blood spilt today.

I just moved it. I picked it up and CAREFULLY put it down. But obviously I was not careful enough... It was my ginger mead. The pieces on the floor are lemon. It was a horrible feeling. I put so much work into it and it all went down the drain... :-(
