How much money do yall speand on honey?

The problem from China is that it's not honey or a very weak mixture of honey. Not to mention all the antibiotics and other chemicals that they have found in it. The US government really isn't doing a very good job on controlling it's entry into the country. I.e. Honey from china is returned...

    Brewsmith: Extract Equipment Questions

That makes sense from a maximum allowed suspension. i.e. If you keep pouring salt into water, eventually it will stop dissolving. Which I'm completely okay with, but I'm not sure how to compensate for my recipes. I.e. I don't want to brew a quadruple turpentine solution when it should be a...

    Brewsmith: Extract Equipment Questions

Is this a bug or a feature? How will I know what "tweaks" that need to be made next time? I made the suggested changes and it made a difference, but I'm not sure that the 1oz of chinook for 60 mins and 1 oz of goldings for 5mins plus the malts would add up to 48.9 IBUs. Maybe it does, but...

    Brewsmith: Extract Equipment Questions

I guess I understand that, but it doesn't make 100% sense. I've made several extract beers that were quite hoppy from kits, that were made in a 2.5-3gallon boil. I have a brewers best kit that is a double IPA and only has 6 oz of hops.... The software says that I need 12oz of hops for a 50...

    Brewsmith: Extract Equipment Questions

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but short of creating an account at brewsmith forums. I'm looking to make an imperial stout recipe, so I downloaded the trial software and have started adding ingredients. However, I'm confused by the "equipment" drop down and the effects on the...

I get honey from my hives, which average around 40lbs per hive on 50 hives. So the easiest way is to be a beekeeper. Or.. I'd google/bing a local beekeeping club in your area. You can sometimes buy honey by the bucket, which for me locally is 100-120 bucks for a 60lb 5 gallon bucket.

Still alive - just tackling a HUGE DIY

I've been looking at both SIPs and ICF construction techniques. I was curious what you used to vibrate the concrete during pouring? For the insides of the ICF walls, are you going to apply the drywall directly, or are you going to have some type of furring strips to space the drywall out for...

    Soon a Beekeeper

TBH are probably the cheapest to start from a material aspect, but it almost requires you to buy a package of bees. Also, you have to crush/strain your comb. This makes for good wax/honey but your bees have to work harder for you. If you go with a standard langstroth, you can get a nuc from...
