Same exact yeast(1118) and juice from concentrate. If you look at my other posts you can see how radically the change took place in some different pictures. I am hoping my first batch isn't a dud, but worst comes to worst and I only have to wait a week for the second batch =)

Is bubbling the best way to tell if fermentation is taking place?
Here is a side by side picture of 42 / 21 hours respectively.
Bubbling increased respectively 1.5 / 3 seconds.
At about 42 hours it has lightened significantly compared to the last picture, the foam on the top has died down tremendously, and the large floating chunks have disappeared allowing smaller bubbles to replace them. Visibility has also decreased from about 6 inches to <1 inch within the vessel...
It's going strong!.... I think. Big chunks floating up and down, and bubbles coming through the airlock about every 3 seconds.
Is my cider going to taste awful if I drink it after 2 weeks? Is secondary a necessity?
