after bottling, do you refrigerate? or just let it condition at room temp?

Also how do you normally add your priming sugar? I have one recipe that says to boil it in one cup water before adding to racked beer. And another that says add priming sugar to racked beer. Does it depend on recipe? Or does it not matter?

I have heard after primary fermentation the brew is resistant to contamination. Was checking to see if this was valid. Better to sanitize and be safe then sorry

After primary fermentation has ended should I still sanitize racking cane and bottling bucket before racking?

@maxstout- my question was one of curiosity how you can build a recipe with a certain target alcohol of 9-10%. I enjoy a heavy IPA. Even though I have only been brewing for a little over a week I have both primary and secondary fermenters filled already. I enjoy brewing the pre packaged box...

Is it the more sugar, more alcohol? Is there a ratio to follow?

I just went to local supplier today. $250 for the entire setup. My fiancé would kill me if I spent that kinda money already (especially since this is my first brew). I have the bottles, I just think kegging would be easier and less of a hassle. So instead of leaving shop with a keg setup I left...
