A few weeks ago I started my first sour brew.
3/23 Brewed 5gal Kolsch into 6gal carboy for krausen headspace.
OG: ~1.043
It ran a regular ferm schedule for 3 weeks.
Recipe estimates that 3.8% ABV should be final. I bet its not far off from that.
4/13 I pastuerized 4lb frozen...
I put one eye screw in the side of the house and tied 2 strings for the planter at the top.
I suppose i could have tied them to another line and anchored at the bottom for easier lowering, but i have a 20ft ladder that gets up there pretty easily.

2013 hops full...
Rabbits were my downfall on my 1st attempt at hops growing last year. Ate the tops off all my shoots and killed the whole year.
This year I've smartened up and put them in large planters, no problems so far!
