K.I.S.S. = Keep It Simple Stupid So basically try to eliminate as many variables as you can. Oh and never use soap.

I used vodka in a 3-piece recently and had to refill it every week and a half until I bottled. It evaporated quick.

Just wanted to drop a note saying thanks. I lurked for a bit and got a lot of information from these forums which help me turn out a spectacular English Bitter for my first brew. So thanks again to everyone I stole ideas or hints from. I hope that as I progress I can do the same for someone else.
