Has anyone tried the Ballast Point Sculpin IPA ingredient kit from Austin Homebrew? http://www.austinhomebrew.com/product_info.php?products_id=13745 If so, is it a pretty decent clone? Sculpin is my favorite beer, so I'd love to get something as close as possible....

Does this picture tell you more? There is definitely some sort of whitish brown material floating on the surface, and the inner lining of the top of the carboy is coated in it.....

Thanks for the quick replies. I think I may be infected though. I took a sample using a wine thief, and came up with these white chunks on the outside of the tube (see pic). Does this mean I'm infected?

I'm brewing my first batch of beer. During fermentation, I was out of town for a couple of days. When I came back, the airlock had blown off. I immediately sanitized the airlock and put it back in. It is now fermenting again, but I'm worried that the batch maybe ruined because it was exposed...
